Project Description

Dr Pinto was commissioned by the UNDP Country Office in the Republic of Moldova to advise the Country Office on a comprehensive and integrated package of programmatic interventions related to Inclusive Development and Social Inclusion Portfolio, in view of repositioning UNDP activities in the field, and identifying new entry points as described above. The aim was to elaborate a comprehensive Concept Note, together with concrete and detailed proposals on possible programme interventions which UNDP Moldova can offer as support to the Government in view of addressing both existing and forthcoming challenges in relation to the following themes:

  • Innovative local and regional level opportunities
  • Employment and income-generating prospects for youth, vulnerable and social groups at risk of exclusion
  • Linkages between the labour market demand and VET supply
  • Agriculture-based and green economy initiatives
  • Access and quality of local service provision, as well as capitalize on joint UN work (all UN Agencies)
