Project Description
The Panorama and Recommendations for SME Support in 2005 and 2006 covered the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro & Kosovo
Dr Ricardo Pinto provided the team leader for this project covering all countries which fall under the CARDS technical assistance programme. The key aims of the projects were to:
- Develop a detailed SME Panorama for each country covering the following issues: regulations, institutions, taxation, finance and business associations.
- Based on the SME Panorama, develop country specific recommendations (7 sets) so as to prioritise the use of the CARDS technical assistance during the programming period 2005 to 2006.
- Set out recommendations for technical assistance for the region as a whole.
- The project was funded by EuropeAid Co-ordination (DG External Relations) and was implemented.
Services Provided
- Identify and select local experts in all relevant countries.
- Develop the comparative approach and methodology.
- Coordinate, analyse and assess local inputs.
- Prepare of overall report.
- Liaise with EC and finalisation of recommendations.
