Project Description

Dr Pinto was commissioned by GIZ to undertake the following tasks focusing on vulnerable groups and enterprises/entrepreneurs:

  • Support to team leader and the project team in providing input and making necessary adaptations to key strategic, operational and management tools of the project for the successful and sustainable implementation of activities;
  • Conceptual and strategical input and expertise for development, implementation and follow up of activities and products related to intervention areas of the project;
  • Support to project team in developing and adapting tools for the result-based monitoring system of the project;
  • Support to team leader and project team in further necessary development and adaptation of the project as well as cooperation and coordination with partner organizations of the project.

The invasion of Ukraine and resulting war led to an adjustment of the focus from 2/2022 onwards:

  • Business Development Services (BDS) to support Internally Displaced Businesses (IDBs) and central and western Ukrainian businesses;
  • 3 grant schemes to support SMEs, especially those displaced from the Azov Sea region
  • Support to the project to refocus its activities towards resilience and delivery of products and services in a war economy setting

He undertook these activities, working closely with the leam leader and the project team, during 11/2020 – 12/2023.
